i choose to do a guitar for my pencil project. it was something i havent seen before so i figured i would try it.
it was very diffcult to scetch out a pattern for all the pencils then i decided to make a pencil out line of the guitar instead of filling it in with pencils. another tasks to over come was what direction to have the light coming from. i did have a mess up where i shaded the wrong direction.
I choose to make this cowgirl the queen of spade. I choose this because I really liked the cowgirl but didnt know what to do with her. well I found a useful use for her.
one problem I had was the smudging of the oil pastels. I had black and pink smudges everywhere. also a problem I had was gettin the correct skin color.
to solve my smudge problem I ended up using acrylic white paint and paint over all my smudges. It worked very well and i liked the out come. I ended up buying my own set of oil pastels in order to get the right color for the skin. I am very happy with my new pastels and will enjoy them in the future.
I can apply art techniques and organizational principles to solve specific visual arts problems.
